Location notes:
The working title for The Intruders was Mallacoota, which is the name of the seaside holiday town in which the film is set and shot. Thanks to J. Grant, Honorary Curator - M&DHS Inc - Mallacoota WWII Bunker Museum, for contributing information about this location.
Mallacoota is a small coastal town in Victoria, near the NSW border. It is popular as a tourist destination due to its proximity to Gabo Island and Croajingolong National Park.

Much of the action in the Skippy movie took place at Mallacoota: "there was a large amount of location filming
down the coast at Mallacoota Inlet" (See http://www.classicaustraliantv.com/Skippy.htm). According to J. Grant, the Mallacoota Inlet entrance - also known as 'the bar' - features in some of the abalone boat scenes.
