Synopsis

"Wilbur the pig is scared of the end of the season, because he knows that come that time, he will end up on the dinner table. He hatches a plan with Charlotte, a spider that lives in his pen, to ensure that this will never happen."-- IMDB synopsis

 

This film is an unusual inclusion in the Cultural Atlas because it was filmed in Australia, but it is not set here and it is based on a 1952 novel by American author E.B. White.

The county fair scene of E.B. White's novel, Charlotte's Web, is set at Maine's Blue Hill Fair. 

Shooting Locations

Heidelberg West Football Club grounds, Melbourne region, Victoria

In the 2006 film adaptation of Charlotte's Web, the fair is filmed in Melbourne at the Warringal parklands in Heidelberg, on the grounds of the Heidelberg West Football Club. Thanks to P. Rickard for contributing this information.
