Synopsis

The film shows the mateship of shearers on a sheep station in the Australian outback in 1955 when the shearers' pay bonuses are threatened and there is a dispute with non-union shearing labourers. Jack Thompson plays Foley, an excellent shearer who fancies the station owner's daughter Sheila (Lisa Peers).
